Jackson's Bay is a hidden gem of a tourist attraction tucked away near Barry Island in the United Kingdom. This dog-friendly beach offers a beautiful and quiet retreat for beachgoers, with stunning views and a more peaceful atmosphere than the main beach at Barry. Visitors can enjoy the sandy shores and the opportunity to let their dogs roam free. However, some visitors have noted the importance of keeping the beach clean and respecting the area's regulations, such as parking restrictions and seasonal closures of public facilities. Despite some limitations, Jackson's Bay offers a delightful and serene experience for those seeking a less crowded beach destination. With its stunning views and tranquil environment, it is a must-visit spot for those looking for a peaceful coastal retreat.

Small but beautiful dog friendly beach tucked away around the corner from Barry Island only problem is whilst walking there yesterday I came across dog poo in bags just left on the beach!! What's wrong with people why don't they just find the nearest bin its not hard to do we have to keep our beaches clean.
A hidden treasure, guess for us with 2 dogs it's probably better this time of year with less people. The dogs loved it we loved it and with the sun shining couldn't have asked for more, well perhaps some toilets open out of season 😀 but otherwise delightful. Free to enter.
Spent all my life taking trips to Barry for family days out and never realised this bay existed just a few hundred mitres around the corner from main beach. Stunning little beach soft sand and shallow safe water for the kids.
Amazing view and quiet place, but you have to be aware from parking ticket as it as a resident area only.
Gorgeous quiet place. Less windy than the main beach too and warmer. My personal preference over the main beach at Barry. The tide is in during the morning normally so don't make our mistake of going in the afternoon if you're in for a dip as the water goes very far out during low tides in the afternoon
Visited here on a Wednesday in late October. Hardly anyone here. It is a fairly steep slope but worth the walk. The beach is lovely and sandy. Our dogs loved It and we were able to let our puppy off the lead. The public toilets are closed at this time of year.
Beautiful sand beach a stone throw from Barry Island, the cliffs make it feel more secluded. Access is easy with a walkway down. Parking was not easy and can imagine during hot holiday season it would be difficult to park.
Beautiful beach that's dog friendly. A steep walk down to it but it's pram friendly.
